Friday - From St. Peters (from Bill)

Hi Maggie,Talked to the group about a blog, asking people to contribute their two cents worth so let's see if we get something going.John Keeley will be sending you pictures and I think we have our photographer.
Today's ride met at St.Peter's and was approched by I believe the Pastor who offered to arrainge a group blessing, similar to what they do in NY. He would like it to encompass all the groups who ride out of St. Peter's and suggested a date around Memorial Day.If I see any of the other groups I'll approch them about it.
Today's group: the gals,Kathy B.,Nancy P.,Chris T.,Eloise,and Olga
the guys,Carl,John V,Rich C.,and myself.
We left about 9:10 and traveled Christopher Mill Rd. to Tuckerton Rd. thru Barton Run,around the big horse shoe that's Kings Grant, caught some head wind on the back side of Kings Grant and again wind on Tomlinson Mill Rd.The group maintained a very good pace line as we continued on thru Taunton Lake,Mimosa Lakes, up E.Centenial ,thru The Bluff to JacksonRd..Pedaled our way to Atsion Rd. in sunshine enjoying spring blossoms and peacefulness.
The weather got dark and windy,Nancy mentioned that it was as if fall had returned,so I decided to make Wawa at OakShade and IndianMills Rd. the turn around desination, however I put a twist on getting their. We traveled down Atsion Rd. past GrassyLake to make a left on Steamboat, over to Breckenridge where we stopped a the entrance of an equistrian center for a group picture. After Wawa we retuned on McKeninmenRd. and MedfordLakes.
I clocked 29miles in 3 hours 24 minutes, others had 30 miles. Overall it was a much better ride than the day before, hope I wasn't to long in the report,if so be sure to tell me. Bill

  1. Thanks to Maggie's coaching, I'm posting a comment. Super pictures,JOHN, and you accomplished it without a coach :))

    Back to FRIDAY'S RIDE.

We have a flying FINN, Jukka and after Friday's ride, a nimble, NANCY. She led me back to St Pete's in 30 mins, (17 mph) in plenty of time for my appt. It was downhill on Atsion with time to do Christoper Mill, ending up with 27 miles.

BILL, thanks for leading us on a minimum windy route with great scenery.

    CHRIS T.
